US President Joe Biden will welcome to Republican White House Donald Trump after his victory in the November 5th American presidential election.
The meeting in the Oval Office is before taking place at 11: 00 a.m. local times.
Before meeting with Beden, Trump is scheduled to meet with Republican leaders at the American Congress. The Republican Party will have control of the Senate and will likely take the majority to the House of Representatives.
Beden, 81, has called Trump, 78, after elections to congratulate him for victory and has invited him to a meeting at the White House.
While the Democrats have named Trump a threat to democracy, Beden has, however, pledged that there would be peaceful transfer of power and that the protocol will be maintained in the process.
However, this was not the case after the 2020 presidential elections, when Trump refused to admit defeat and had not invited Biden to meet at the White House. Republican had also not attended the Biden inauguration ceremony. / REL
