Backock: US decision on long-range Ukraine weapons important

President Joe Biden's administration has allowed Ukraine to use American-made weapons to carry out deep attacks within Russia, American media said Sunday.

Backock, however, said this is not a change of strategy from the West.

“The decision by the American side ) and I would like to stress that this is not re-remembering, but simply intensifying what other partners have given so far is extremely important at this time”, Baerbock said in Brussels before meeting with EU foreign ministers.

The New York Times, the Associated Press and Reuters reported on November 17th that Biden has lifted these restrictions, calling to sources that have knowledge of the issue.

The White House has not yet commented on these reports and has not yet responded to the demand for comment submitted by Radio Free Europe. The National Security Council has also not commented on this report.

If this news is confirmed, then it would be a major change in American politics, as Kiev has long urged Washington to allow it to use long-range weapons of action to attack Russia.

Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky did not directly confirm the reports, but said one of the main points of his <x0-> winning” that he presented to the allies involved using long-range weapons by his army.

Reuters, citing sources, reported that Kiev plans to carry out the first long-range armed attacks after several days, but did not provide more details.

Ukraine will probably use the ATACMS system missiles that have ranges of action up to 300 km HINA, Reuters said, citing three sources with information on the issue.
