By the time their arrest was arrested, it was reported to have come the moment they were approaching the border while cutting trees.
And in this case, news.net has contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
This minister has declared that they have already been notified about the case and that they have requested additional data from the Kosovo Liaison Office in Serbia.
According to the MPJD, a formal request has already been submitted to confirm the case, as well as to take additional details, including the identity of arrested persons and location of where they are being held.
Regarding this case, the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia has already sent to the Government of Serbia, through Serbia's Interconnecting Office in Kosovo, a formal requirement to confirm the case, as well as to provide other relevant details, including the identity of arrested persons and the location where they are being held”, is said in response.
It also became known that the European Union delegation in Serbia and the diplomatic missions of the Belgrade-accredited Quint countries have already been announced in this case.
By Kosovo authorities, also, that at the moment of confirmation the official request will be made to visit the detention centre, where they are being held.
“At the moment of confirmation, diplomats of the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia will apply for their official visit to the detention centre where they are being held”, it is further stressed.
In this regard, Serbian authorities are reportedly seeking money for their release. According to local media, Serbs even demanded up to 20,000 euros so that two young people from Podujevo can be released.
This is not the first time Serbian soldiers arrest Kosovo citizens. Some of them were arrested at the border points as they entered, and others were on their way out.
Many of these detainees were detained in detention centres, and they have been held for months.
Many of the detainees were former KLA members, which Serbs continue to provoke constantly with their unnecessary bans. /Lajmi.net/
