The State Prosecutor has begun collecting evidence for a suspicious employment process at the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK).
The case is linked to serious violations in a employment competition for 220 free jobs.
80 out of over 200 listrs on the narrow list allegedly applied with forged diplomas, Paparaci has learned from a well-informed source of the process.
The prosecution has authorised the Directorate for Investigation of the Kosovo Police Economic Crimes, the source has said.
The same source has told him that 80 applicants who allegedly applied with forged diplomas are on the favoured list for job admission. The process has not yet been finalised.
The competition was opened in September of this year for positions: “manipulater of the air strips”, “manipulator of the field hynk” and “cabin buffer II”.
Opened several months before parliamentary elections, the competition risks being used by the central power for party-based employment, as has happened in the past with employment in public enterprises, in time campaigns.
Misuses suspected in KEK contests are not isolated cases, but continuation of the past. Serious violations of employment on party and nepotistic bases were discovered in another KEK competition in 2022.
At the time, about a year after the establishment of the ruling Vetevendosje Movement, activists and relatives close to the assessment commission were employed in a suspicious KEK competition.
As reported, five members of the evaluation commission, including the chief audit officer, had employed their sons or brothers.
Even party militants and family members of LVV were employed in that competition.
