1 year imprisonment and 15 thousand euros fine on former LDK chairman in Drenas

The case against the two indictees who were convicted of money laundering was announced by Judge Violet Namani on Tuesday, reports “Justice Vowtim “.
According to this indictment, accused Bedri Nika was sentenced to 1 year in prison, in which the sentence will be counted as past time in custody, as well as 15 thousand euros in fines.
While accused Albian Nica, the court pronounced him a prison sentence in length of 6 months and 3 thousand euros in fines.
In addition, the Court has confiscated 121 banknotes damaged at a total value of 650 euros, which have been used to carry out criminal work.
They also owe the accused solid. on behalf of damage for the rich-juridical request to compensate for the bank-damaged NLB in Pristina is worth 5 thousand and 900 euros, in the one month deadline, after the act takes the cut form.
To indictees Bedri Nica for criminal work “Blerja, acceptance and hiding items taken in criminal work”, the Court rejected the charge in the argument that the Special Prosecutor's Prosecutor's Prosecutor has been withdrawn from the prosecution in the final word of this trial.
In the end, the Court announced that the disgruntled parties, against this act, have a right to complaint under the legal mandate.
Otherwise, at the October 28th 2024 session, the two accused have been convicted of criminal action in co-ordination “Money laundering”.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina on April 14, 2023, had declared a court sentence condemning accused Bedri Nica to 1 year in prison and 15 thousand euros in fine for criminal work “money laundering”, while releasing him for criminal work “bribing, accepting and hiding things by criminal work”. While accused Albian Nica of criminal work “money laundering” had sentenced him to 6 months in prison and 5 thousand euros in fines.
Otherwise, the Court of Appeals had confirmed the Act of Foundation Court in Pristina.
But the Supreme Court had concluded that the court's act of first court has not been compiled based on legal provisions, since both the device and the reasoning do not contain proper clarifications regarding “criminal activism”, considered the essential element of the criminal work figure for which convicted Nika was convicted.
According to the same indictment it is said that the essential violations of the penal procedure provisions that are included in first and second degree judgments are of that nature that have not been able to be avoided by the Supreme Court of Kosovo, so the same have been the reasons why this criminal case is forced to be retriald in the first instance court that must make a fair, legal and reasonable decision on any point of judgment,
According to the indictment filed on December 20th 2021, Bedri Nika was charged with criminal acts “Blerja, the admission and hiding of provisions taken in criminal work” and criminal work “Money Laundering”, with which the accused Albian Nica was also charged.
