RTK Television Director Riley Gervalla has reacted after the criticism the public broadcaster received today from opposition MPs for failing to broadcast the extraordinary session to RTK's main channel, but at RTK3.
The one for RTK, he said the Assembly hearing was completely broadcast.
“RTK has not censored the Parliament, not a single speech. The Assembly was broadcast on RTK's third channel”, he said.
He has said the session has not been broadcast on the first channel since weeks ago it has been scheduled to broadcast the 25th anniversary of the Kosovo Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors, which has been held today and continues tomorrow.
Among the speakers there are the survivors of the sexual violence that Serbia has committed in Kosovo. They will speak nobiists of peace, and they have also been heads of state. We have three channels in Albanian, but we don't have channels dedicated to the Parliament. So such accusations, at a time when a survivor of sexual violence spoke, and MPs hold a conference or protest against RTK, who had broadcast the Assembly on channel 1, I think are not mature gestures or political”, Grovall said.
Today, an extraordinary session called by the opposition has been held in the Kosovo Assembly, where water editors and talks published between Dejona Mihali and Nagip Krasniqi were discussed for forgiveness.
RTK writes that along with the ongoing transmission on RTK 3, the Assembly session was broadcast “live” and on RTK's official Facebook page.
