European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen, who is staying in the countries of the Western Balkans region regarding the Growth Plan tomorrow, will come to Kosovo.
The office of Kosovo's prime minister in the news for the media has indicated that Kurti will meet EU senior official at 11:15.
The Republic of Kosovo's “Prime Minister Albin Kurti awaits European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen at the meeting. V EndI: Government building KOHA: 11:15” is said in the ZKM report.
Otherwise, Ursula von der Leyeen has met Serbia's president in Belgrade today. There it stated that Serbia is a “one of the most advanced countries in the membership process” and that there is a strong “basis for becoming a member of the EU”.
She added that her presence in Belgrade “is a clear sign that I believe Serbia's future is in the EU”.
So far Serbia has opened 22 out of a total of 35 negotiating chapters for membership in the European Union. Of those 22, it has temporarily closed 2.
