The latest victim, who was wanted in the Konjica area after the floods in the area, has been found at Jabllanica Lake, Konjica municipality chairman Osman Qatiq said on Wednesday.
The victim is a 62-year-old man from the village of Buturovic Polje, near Konjica, who had disappeared from the October 4th floods in this part of the country.
“is the last victim of floods that have been sought in the Konjica area in recent days”, Qatic told Radio Free Europe.
Qatic stressed that his lifeless body was found in Jabllanica Lake, and that his wife also lost her life through these floods.
Generally, 27 people lost their lives by floods and landslides that hit Bosnia on October 4th, out of them 19 in Donja Jabllanica, a village in Jablanica, five in Konjica, and three in Fojnica.
On Tuesday, some 2,000 people attended the burial of 19 people who lost their lives as a result of the floods and landslides in Donja Jabllanica.
Heavy rains and powerful winds hit parts of southern and central Bosnia on October 4th, destroying houses, roads and cutting the current and blocking access to several villages.
Rescue teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro helped search missing persons in flooded areas last week, while engineering units helped in other recovery efforts.
The Kosovo government announced last week that it will help Bosnia and Herzegovina with 200,000 euros, following deadly floods. / REL/
