Today's extraordinary KEK management session, this is the opposition resolution that mentions Dejona Mihalin.

Today the Kosovo Assembly will hold an extraordinary session.

The Assembly has announced that the only point of the agenda is: “ParliamentaryDebat for scandals and bad management at the Kosovo Energy Corporation”.

Unlike this extraordinary session, the head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, has also written.

“On behalf of the 43 deputies signed, I have called the extraordinary session, which will be held at 12:00. This requirement has been made to address scandals in the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), which have raised major concerns for the public and institutions”, Gashi has written.

The Express newspaper has assured what this draft resolution contains, requiring investigation into the interventions of unauthorised persons in KEK management and decision-making, the granting of tenders, energy trade and employment processes.

Also, the Convention with this draft resolution requires that Dejona Mihali's illegal role and influence be investigated in KEK management and location.

Below, find text on what this resolution contains:

• 1. The Kosovo Assembly seeks from competent bodies to continue thorough and deepening investigations of scandals in KEK, including mismanagement of single-source tenders and lack of competition in public procurement. All repeated offenses to be prosecuted.
• 2. The Assembly calls for the Government of Kosovo and the KEK Board to report on energy trading contracts during the period 2021-2024, including favourable conditions for third parties and public finance impact. The Parliament imposes appropriate organs to review these contracts to protect public interest and to follow any irregularities.
• 3. The Assembly requires competent authorities to investigate the interventions of unauthorized persons in management and decision-making in KEK, especially in terms of tender giving, energy trade and employment processes. To take concrete measures to stop invasive interventions and ensure a transparent and independent management in KEK.
• 4. The Assembly calls for a thorough investigation into the role of Dejona Mihali and any other person who has exerted illegal influence in KEK management and recruiting processes, including illegal employment.
• 5. The Assembly imposes the KEK Board and responsible energy management institutions to increase transparency in all processes of procurement and energy trade, including contract publishing and detailed reporting on financial and operational performance.
• 6. The Assembly recommends that the Government of Kosovo take measures to improve governance in KEK, appointing an independent and professional board, in order to ensure efficient andgligible entrepreneurship.
• 7. The Assembly calls for the Government of Kosovo and the KEK Board to report every three months for the situation in KEK, including measures taken to improve management, procurement and transparency in the venture.
• This resolution enters power immediately after approval in the Kosovo Assembly.
