Year's teachers remain at large, mayor of the municipality warns indictment of the Ministry of Finance

The municipality's teachers in the Year are the only ones who have not yet received wages, as the Ministry of Finance announced today.

This institution claims that this municipality has not secured the necessary budget and that wages have only been executed for part of the municipality's employees, leaving educational workers out.

The MF's announcement further states that despite the fact that the wage budget is shared in order to cover spending for the entire year, as a consequence of final cases, the MF said some municipalities have begun to have a budget shortage in the wage category already, and that the Kosovo Treasury has long announced the municipalities that have faced this problem of making corrections and adjustments necessary to secure enough budgets for the execution of the month's wages.

The only “commun that has not made this adjustment is Vitita, which has left primary and medium-sized education programmes without enough budget for the execution of September's” salaries, the ministry's report notes.

But there is a different opinion of the chairman of the Committee of the Year, Sokol Vitia.
