German Ambassador Jorn Rohde has congratulated the new commander of KFOR, Major General Enrico Barjuni, as he today officially accepted the post.
Through a post, Rohde has thanked Major General Ulitaş for his extraordinary service as commander.
“German remains committed to support KFOR and the implementation of its mission, as reaffirmed by our latest sensitive growth with contingent” wrote Rohde.
Bardonni arrived in Kosovo a week ago, reports IndexOnline, meanwhile, accepted the post as commander today by his predecessor, Major General Ulitaş.
The accession-submission ceremony was held at KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City in Pristina.
The official announcement of KFOR says:
“General General General Enrico Bardini from Italy, at a ceremony held today (11 October 2024) at KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City in Pristina.
Admiral Stuart B. Munsch, Commander of the Allied Joint Forces Command in Naples (Italy), along with representatives of institutions in Kosovo and the International Community. Major General Bardoni takes command of the mission for a one-year term. ”
Bardonini is the 14th Italian Major General to lead the NATO mission in Kosovo.
