Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Iron Murati, announced that pensioners will benefit 20 per cent wage increases.
But this growth is not considered real according to the head of the Pensioners' Association, Nijazi Gashi.
Gashi said they would consider the possibility of even the protests.
We're not agreeing to this growth. It's not enough. We've requested that this real increase, given the increase in wages which had become inflation. You know the increase hasn't been in since five years”, he said.
We'll have a meeting Friday with the membership and branch heads, somewhere around the money to attend around 100 people and discuss it. If there is support we will also organise protests”, he stressed.
The pension increase was criticised by the opposition, which was described as fraud and vote buying.
