At a solemn ceremony in the city of Yonkers, New York, AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj was praised with the gratitude of the City by the mayor of Yonkers, Mr. Mike Spano. In this case, Spano officially declared October 20th 2024 as Ramush Haradinaj's honoured “Day, honouring him for his hardworking service to Kosovo and dedication to the country's economic and cultural development.
Also, October 20th 2017 as the official day of raising Kosovo's flag at Yonkers was declared.
Haradinaj expressed his gratitude for this honour, dedicating it to his fellow KLA fighters and American soldiers who have served in Kosovo. He stressed the importance of friendship between Kosovo and the United States, engaging in a strong and developed future for Kosovo.
