Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has launched his speech in front of the hall filled with Albanian immigrants in Broadway, New York, in the United States.
Rama stressed that the diaspora vote has already turned into a promise held, while adding that it sought the vote of American Albanians with the aim of Albania's EU membership in 2030.
I've had to try my time together with my party colleagues and feel more confused than once during these years in Albania's elections. Already your vote for elections in Albania is a promise kept. I'm ahead of you all Albanians of America that next spring I want your vote from America to make Albania 2030 members of the European Union. To raise the flag of Skenderbeu and Ismail Kemal in the EU court with you in Brussels, to support all other flags of the large European family, which we have historically belonged to. Today is the day for making history together. This is the promise of promise. That is the very meaning of these mandates and the future mandate for Albania”, he said.
