The Kosovo Police Union (SPK) disagrees with the government's proposed value of wage increases. The SPK welcomes any Government decision to raise salaries in the public sector and supports the idea that this increase is linear to all employees. However, the SPK estimates that the amount proposed for this increase does not coincide with the real needs of employees, given inflation and price hikes, as well as the level of police salaries in the countries of our region.
In view of these factors, the SPK requires that wages increase for 2025 be realised, including a total increase of two cofficients. Concretically, it is suggested that the first growth be implemented in January for an additional cofficiency and second in June for an additional cofficiency.
This approach would provide solid economic support to our employees, conforming salaries to the increase in the cost of living and to the standards of the region.
With respect,
Kosovo Police Union
