Osmani has stressed that Kosovo is acting with the good neighbourly approach and that Serbia should shoulder its responsibility for the terrorist act in Banjska in September last year.
The “is bad luck for the security of the region that in the Western Balkans a state continues to be Russia's strongest satellite in Europe, and that is Serbia. It is the time of the EU's determination to show Russia also to Russia's satellites and servants in our region. This is of importance as far as Serbia's responsibility for active aggression against Kosovo committed through terrorist paramilitary forces in September, which according to the White House has been intended to destabilise not only Kosovo but the entire Western Balkans”, the president has said at the conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Osmani has declared that it is time for the EU to remove measures on Kosovo, adding that they have damaged the dialogue process as well.
“Today we need the EU to assess and recognise these achievements. It is time for the unfair measures against Kosovo to finally go away. In addition to injustice, these measures are damaging citizens and damaging the process of dialogue, making it completely unbalanized, uneven and unrecognizable. The lifting of the measures is the reflection of the needs of all Kosovo citizens, but it would also be the response to the fulfillment of the preconditions the EU itself had reported with Kosovo in terms of these” measures.
