Vetevendosje Movement MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila has justified the word “brate (brother)” used in her messages, published in the media, with former Serbian List deputate Slavko Sim enemies.
In KTV's “Confront”, Kusari-Lila has said this word in Serbian means friend.
She said that she mentioned this word in the sense of free conversation, as she said she used it with other MPs.
For all who speak the Serbian or Montenegrin language know the meaning of the word "brate" which means, not the word of a brother in particular, but the word of a friend. In the way it is used as synonymous with free conversation in such a sense. If he were a brother, if he were a brother, the kind of cooperation he's trying to get together, that cooperation would continue. Language is a communication that I will have with today a communication with any MP in general, as from the opposition, as I communicate freely with everyone. In Serbian and Montenegrin, both are used and this has been in that flow of communication discours. I don't speak the language very well, I understand. I've learned since my childhood in Pec, I've greatly updated when I became a spokeswoman for Government in 2003-2004 because of many circumstances”, she said.
