“Viti 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Independent Media Commission. It will be an honor for us to show the development of the KPM, along with the organisation of the Plenare Assembly, by a UNMIK-run entity named Acting Media Commissioner at an independent media regulator,”.

KPM president elected MNRA vice president
Mehmeti, chairman of the Independent Media Commission, has been elected vice president of the Union of Mediterranean States Regulatory Network (MNRA), at the 23rd Plenary Assembly held in Yerevan, Armenia. This network, consisting of 27 members, aims to exchange knowledge and experiences among member states for issues related to media regulation. Under the rules of this network, Kosovo will be the host of the Plenare Assembly in 2025, with the case it also automatically takes over the MNRA presidency.
In his address, Mayor Mehmet thanked member states for their confidence. “Viti 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Independent Media Commission. The main topic in assembly work in Yerevan is the principles of Kosco on the management of digital platforms, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in achieving the objectives of sustainable United Nations development. In addition to Chairman Mehmeti, from the KPM participants are Heroinda Zagraya and the Bashica Union.
MNRA was founded in 1997 with the initiative of France and Spain. Among other member states are Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Malta, Morocco, Turkey, Albania and other countries in the region.
