Over 300 thousand citizens were equipped with Kosovo passports only from January to September of this year. The largest number of requirements was in the first three months, following the decision Kosovars could travel visa-free to Schengen countries.
According to the Civil Recording Agency, the number of requests has dropped in the following months.
ARC Director Blerim Camaj, announced that more than 206 IDs were issued during this nine-month.
In the first nine-month, there are about 206 thousand citizens who have been equipped with IDs. While the passports have equipped 352 thousand and 555 citizens... the first three months were too much, demand was high, now demand is lower. We have fewer demands. We're in that normal slogan like in the past years that was prior to visa liberalisation”, Camaj says.
Camaj says that more than 380 thousand vehicles have been registered between January and September, until he stresses that from April the census is conditional on paying fines.
As far as vehicles are concerned, between January and September 30th, 380 thousand and 465 vehicles have been registered ... The condition of vehicle registration begins with the introduction of the road traffic regulation law since 3 April. Citizens are not allowed to register vehicles without eliminating sentences that have been fined by street police. This is the law to be implemented. Conditions may not be good for citizens, but we as agencies have to implement”, Camaj says.
