The Israeli Army said it has targeted militants hiding among civilians, but offered no evidence of that claim. In recent months, Israel has repeatedly attacked shelters and tent camps, claiming that they were used by the Hamas fighters of the Palestinian group declared terrorist organisations by the United States and the European Union to launch attacks on Israel.
At Al-Axis Hospital, in the town of Deir al-Bala there are a large number of those injured, as early Monday Israel attacked a school where displaced Palestinians took refuge, killing at least 20 people. Some explosions have been heard after the Israeli attack, however, it is still unclear whether the blasts were caused by weapons or the explosion of fuel deposits.
According to hospital data, four people were killed and another 40 were injured during the Israeli air raid on the camp with displaced Palestinians. Twenty-five people have been transferred to the Naser hospital in southern Gaza, after having suffered severe burns, Al-Axis' Martyrs Hospital said.
Israel is continuing to conduct daily attacks throughout the Gaza Strip, as war began over a year ago.
War began after Hamas attacked the south of Israel on October 7, 2023, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping some 250 others. Even close to 100 people are still kept inside Gaza, while a third of them are believed to have died.
As a result of Israel's revenge offensive, more than 42,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. According to this ministry, over half of the victims were women and children.
About 90 percent of Gaza's population of 2.3 million people have shifted as a result of war, often sometimes. REL
