IPK recommends suspension of police in Kacanik

In the IPK report it is said that the police official has intervened in the database, using private communication channels, reportedly to convey information that conflicts with the privacy and security of police information.
According to the IPK, this behavior constitutes a serious violation of official duties and violates integrity and trust in the police institution.
Kosovo Police Inspectorate “investigators have recommended to the Kosovo Police suspension for a police official at the Ferizaj Regional Directorate in Ferizaj, respectively, on the suspicion that the same one has carried out the criminal work “Unauthorised intelligence of confidential information”.
This recommendation is made in line with legal principles and transparency, taking into account the importance of maintaining higher ethical and professional standards in the Kosovo Police. The first information on this case was accepted by IPK investigators based on the denouncing of a citizen”.
“Based on the investigative actions undertaken so far by IPK investigators, it is suspected that the police official has shared confidential nature information without proper authorization, interfering with the police system (the database) and using private communication channels to convey information that conflicts with the privacy and safety rules of police information” are said to be further in the statement.
