AGK expresses concern for investigation into journalists
The Association of Kosovo Journalists AGK has today sent a letter to Pristina's Chief Prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor, requesting clarification concerning investigations into journalists Vehbi Kajazi and Freedom Mehmetaj.
The AGK is deeply concerned about this situation and requires that it ensure that these investigations are not politically motivated, as well as that freedom of expression and media are respected overall.
Also, the AGK has requested a meeting with the chief prosecutor to discuss the case and protect journalists' rights.
The AGK will continue to monitor this development closely, while inviting all parties involved not to violate democratic principles and in any form to violate freedom of expression, journalists, media and the right to information.
