The deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly, from the PDK ranks, Enver Hoxhaj, has said the Kurti government should affect the end of political misery to understand the truth.
This, according to Hoxhaj, has been shown regularly over the past four years, but during this week it has again shown two events.
The first “has to do with yesterday's visit by European Commission President Ursula Von der Leenen, whom the prime minister asked the removal of the EU's punitive sanctions and also urged Kosovo to obtain candidate status in the European Union! Von der Leeyen did not respond to these demands at all, making it clear that sanctions remain in force, but also that Kosovo does not receive candidate status, for which it applied two years ago, but that no one examines” has written among other things Hoxhaj.
Hoxhaj's full post:
The government Kurt must reach the end of political misery to understand the truth. This has been shown regularly for the past four years, but during this week, two events were repeated!
The first is yesterday's visit by European Commission President Ursula Von der Leenen, whom the prime minister asked for the removal of EU penal sanctions and also asked Kosovo to obtain membership candidate status in the European Union! Von der Leyen did not respond to these demands at all, making it clear that sanctions remain in force, but also that Kosovo does not get candidate status, for which it applied two years ago, but nobody considered it!
The second event concerns the EU strategic document, called “Reforms Agency” and which became public this week! When you read this European Commission enlargement guidance document to the Balkans, what stands out is that the word “membership” has been erased in key parts of the text in the case of Kosovo, since it is clearly mentioned in the case of all other countries in the region! While for other Balkan countries, the “Reforms Agency” must reinforce the country's ability to take obligations stemming from EU membership”, for Kosovo, even here the European Commission has no expectations.
This isolation, sanctioning and degradation of Kosovo to this extent shows that political consciences must be increased to any citizen to the extent that we all act to end the political misery of Kosovo, supporting the political change that is necessary and inevitable to occur on February 9, 2025!
