According to Haxhiu, over 1,000 operations have been conducted for nine months, resulting in an average of 3-4 operations in 24 hours, at a clinic that has four operating halls and 15 specialists.
Haxhiu pointed out that in 2019, with only 2 operating halls, 1,425 operations were conducted, highlighting a drop in the number of operations in 2024 when 4 operating halls are in use.
He described this situation as a failure in health management and linked to the “thesomania” phenomenon that is involving the sector.
