US Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier has indicated that since 1999, the United States has supported demining activities in Kosovo.
He has indicated that over 23 million square feet [23 million sq m] of land have been cleared of these activities.
Hüvenier said that successfully clearing the mines of Zatra National Park, as he said, brings a step closer to our goal.
“Since 1999, the United States has supported the demining activities in Kosovo, which have cleared over 23 million square metres of land and demonstrated a long-term commitment to a Kosovo without mines. The successful cleaning of Zatra's National Park brings us a step closer to target”, has written Havener in “X”.
