According to Krkin, the witness has confirmed that some of its statements, contained in the subject paperwork, are manipulated and fabricated by Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
yesterday's “Witness has confirmed that the evidence may be manipulated, a claim the defence has previously filed. The witness's statements are not hers, but are fabricated by Serbian authorities,” has said Qerkeyny.
He has added that this testimony gives more weight to the defence, causing judges to be extremely cautious in assessing the credibility of evidence.
” Defence claims are no longer speculation, but have been proven through a prosecution witness, putting defence in a more favourable position,” has said Qerkeyny in an interview for Tv Dukagujni.
According to him, if the prosecution evidence proves unbelievable, then even the prosecutor's case theory can be easily dropped.
Otherwise, Stamena Jeliq was the 94th witness in the case of Kosovo Liberation Army leaders. Her husband is suspected of being kidnapped by some in wartime, and since then nothing has been known of his fate. At the Special Court hearing, she has faced several statements issued at Serbia's Interior Ministry.
The Witness has shown how her statements have changed to the Serbian MUP, adding words she has never said.
