The new General Election Law adopted in 2023 has made some substantial changes to the provisional voting process in the Kosovo Assembly elections, which will be held on February 9th 2025.
This kind of vote, according to the CEC, will not be possible at any polling centre as it was in past election processes. This kind of vote will only be allowed at polling stations, which the CEC will appoint.
This change of Law for General Elections has been introduced through a videocast by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi.
The Lint for General Elections adopted in 1923 has made some changes regarding the conditional vote. The conditional vote is possible again, but this kind of vote will not be allowed at any polling centre as it was in past election processes. In the next election for the Kosovo Assembly, The CEC will appoint the Voting Centres with Condition. In the Kosovo Parliament elections, which were held on February 14th 2021, the number of polling centres in Kosovo's 38 municipalities was 888 The polling centre and in each one was possible on bail.
