Board RTK's said members were defined against opening envelopes for the contest, and that the process has thus been cancelled”.
RTK's “Bord, at today's meeting, has reviewed the agenda point on the vote to open envelopes for the general director's competition. During the discussions, the legal official has clarified the entire legal basis for dealing with this process further, stressing that exceeded the deadline provides the basis for annulment of the contest, to avoid violating any rights of applicants or regular competition process. In this case, members of the Board, by majority of votes, have voted against opening envelopes after passing the set deadline, thus cancelling the competition process for general director”, the board's announcement said.
Board RTK also confirmed the resignation of RTK Deputy General Ad Krasta.
At this meeting, also, the chairman announced Board members that she has officially accepted the letter of the irreversible resignation of Deputy Director General Adi Krasta, and expressed sincere thanks for his valuable work and contribution to Kosovo Radio Television. In particular, the Board appreciates Mr. Krasta in the organisation and development of the Song Festival at RTK”.
At the agenda of today's RTK board meeting, it was meant to approve several processes, to vote for “establishing the opening of envelopes for the General Directorial Competition”, and to make “the extension of the app files and review the application documentation for the 643> competition.
