Deputy Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) Hykmete Bajrami says 95% of Prime Minister Kurti's promises are failed.
Bajrami criticises the prime minister for missing a clear vision and focusing on polls, stressing that he should talk about important projects such as infrastructure, education, justice and fighting corruption.
She notes that in a normal situation, citizens would expect a government addressing these issues, but the current situation in Kosovo is different.
The demands of Kurti Government cannot limit only to the economy, even though these are with the visible. If we take Kurti's Qrevjet programme and see its realisation after four years of full responsibility, we can say that 95% failed, namely, only 5% of what they have promised is realised”, Bajrami said.
“Shouldn't the prime minister of the vote, the management of 12 billion euros budget, the one-party government, which didn't need the budget to share it politically according to the resorts of parties in the coalition to speak today in concrete terms, talk about big infrastructure projects, education reforms, reforms in justice, the imprisonment of corrupt governments, to talk to us about new recognitions, memberships in the inter-computer organisation for success in the Council of Europe, to sign the parliament for peace with NATO? In a normal situation, with a normal party in power these would be expectations, but this is not the case of Kosovo. Kosovo has been led by an extreme population of three and a half years since each decision is based on” polls, she added.
Bajrami has declared that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is closing his four-year mandate without leaving any legacy for Kosovo, while adding that Kosovo is currently located in the second year under sanctions from the International Community, a consequence of the government's policies, Kurti.
“Albin Kurti is wrapping up his government's 4-year mandate without leaving behind itself any inheritance: no major infrastructure project, no recognition, no complaint, no reform in education, no reform in justice, no attempt to fight corruption, with economic growth under the average post-independence Kosovo, with double price increases, with the massive departure of citizens from the country in particular of the puntoret power<1>, Bajrami said.
The Kurti government in the absence of any progress will be remembered for corruption, scandals and damages to Kosovo. We must not forget that thanks to his government, our Kosovo today is in its second year under sanctions from the International Community”, she added.
Hykmete Bajrami has accused the Kurti Government of marking a record record with 2,123 corrupt contracts, including scandals with individuals like Martin Berisha and Nagip Krasniqi. She emphasised corruption in the ministry, subsidies and tenders, calling it LVV in synonymous with corruption.
Bajrami also criticised government ties with criminals and the policy impact on government decisions.
“This Government has marked the record with corrupt contracts (contained with no release notice) of 2123 euros worth of 273m euros, corruption with Martin Berisha, corruption with state-run reserves, corruption in the ministry of infrastructure (the tender for the previous bosses), the corruptness and repayment of water ambales, corruption with subsidies in the Ministry of Culture, corruption at the price of bars, with a list of bars, with corruption in order of each institution in justice. LVV has become synonymous with corruption today. They will be remembered for co-ordinating with criminal Radojic and with the influence of party parapolics on the government's daily decisions”, Bajrami said.
Hykmete Bajrami accused Albin Kurti of having just received his mandate, increased his and cabinet wages by 45%, while the price of energy rose above 100%. She stressed that inflation has caused prices of basic products by over 50%, stealing citizens.
Bajrami criticised the government for failing to implement projects as building nests, housing for the elderly and infrastructure, accusing Kurti of complete failure in the past four years.
“Albin Kurti has raised his salary and the entire Cabinet by about 45% has raised the electricity price above 100%, he and his ministers have watched inflation without taking a single measure, inflation has increased the prices of basic products by over 50%, in which the government has been violently collecting citizens' pockets. Through inflation, there has been free transfer of money from the citizens' pockets to the state budget, where the ministers of Albin are moving it through single-source tenders and subsidies. That's the reality that we're living in -- the poorest and richest citizens and rulers --”, Bajrami said.
Could Kurt say he built 160 nests today? No, because he didn't. Can he say today that he has released the price of energy? No, because in his energy mandate it has increased prices of over 100%. Is the price of bread, oil, sugar? No, there have been price hikes for these products over 50%. Has health insurance been made? Are residences for young couples built 4000? Are there five homes built for the elderly? Is there any bridge? Yeah, the Saradren Bridge? Is Pristina-Podujevo road finished, Pristina '% Gjilan, Pristina Mitrovica, Pristina Peja? What about any energy capacity? Did a project start for sewage treatment, recycling waste, river storage? Albin Kurtin is responsible for losing the country four years”, Bajrami told Blic newspaper.
