Earlier when signs were set in northern Kosovo there were discussions about how to write. Commissioner for Language Slavisa Mladenov, in March of this year, had said that replacing the signs should take place in the spirit of multiethnicity and ethnic composition of the population in northern Kosovo, suggesting placing the Serbian language as the first.
