Albania: A woman and a man take a 53-year-old hostage, ask for money

A woman from Gjirokastra and a man from Memiliaj are suspected that, in co-operation with each other, they have taken hostages and spent a 53-year-old to get money.

Police said the victim was kept in a rented apartment, reports A2 CNN.

“The service of the Gjirokastra Police Commissioner, following the announcement that 2 citizens had abolished their freedom, a 53-year-old, holding it against his will and deliberately spending a lot of money, have immediately organised the task of apprehending and placing suspected authors before legal responsibility. As a result of the quick actions of specialists in investigating the crimes of the Gjirokastra Police Commissioner, the suspected authors have been identified, captured, and arrested: L. C., 45, resident of Gjirokastra and E. T., 38, resident of the Wing, Memalij. They have kept in the rented apartment from 45-year-old citizen P. S., 53, removing his freedom, as well as having spent it on wealth giving”, police said.

The two alleged perpetrators are charged with criminal acts “The illegal freedom scene”, “Conspiracy by candor or violence for wealth giving”, carried out in cooperation.

The investigative actions reveal that the event has occurred for poor motives.
