Through a post on his official Facebook social networking site, Xhaferi has said he expects members of the government to work devotedly in the interest of citizens.
“Today I opened the first session of government. I expect all members of the Government to invest in all of their own knowledge and experience and work with commitment to the interest of citizens and that we will face all of our challenges together, transparently and professionally.”, he wrote.
We remember that North Macedonia's technical prime minister, Talat Xhaferi, has officially taken office from his predecessor, Dimitar Kovachevski, on Monday 29 January.
The technical government will operate for 100 days and will have mandates for organising and conducting parliamentary elections on May 8th.
Part of the technical government is also the Macedonian opposition party, V MRO DPMNE, which in Xhaferi's cabinet will head the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, and has three deputy ministers with special competencies.
Despite being part of the government, V MRO DPMNE on Sunday, January 28th, did not vote for the technical executive.
This party also appeared on Monday on charges of the personality of the Democratic Union for Integration, which had nominated it for the prime minister's post.
This party also accused the Social Democratic League (LSDM) “of damaging Macedonian interests”.
For the executive's election, 65 MPs voted, three opposed and there was no abstention.
To the Democratic Union for Integration supporters of this subject, Talat Xhaferi's choice of leadership of the technical government, “is the largest Albanian achievement in northern Macedonia”.
