Ukrainian officials said Russia has released 28 drones and three overnight cruise missiles. As a result of Russia's fearful attacks on the city of Dnipro, 12 people have been injured.
Although smaller than the last air strikes, the January 7th attack is the last indication that Russia has no intention of stopping targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, often off front lines. In a post in Telegram, Ukraine's Air Force said the air defence destroyed 21 out of 28 drones, mainly targeting locations in the south and east of the state.
“The enemy is shifting the focus of attacks on territories on the throne line: Herson and Dnipropetovski regions have been attacked by fears”, Air Force spokesman Yuri Ihna said of a Ukrainian television.
Ukraine presents evidence of Russian northeastern missile use
In the town of Dnepro, located in central Ukraine, 12 people were injured by a fearful attack, regional authorities said.
Over the past two weeks, Russia has fired almost 300 rockets and carried out attacks with over 200 fears in Ukraine, as part of its efforts to terrorise the civilian population and undermine their morale. On December 29th, more than 120 Russian missiles were launched in cities throughout Ukraine, killing 44 people, including 30 victims in Kiev alone.
Russia has begun its unprotested invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, and Ukraine repeatedly urges its allies to supply it with air defence weapons.
Last week, American officials said Russia has started using ballistic missiles provided by North Korea and has used them in attacks on Ukraine. / REL/
