Russia issued fourteen offensive fears and five rockets in Ukraine overnight, Ukraine's air force said on January 25th, which added that eleven of them were down.
The port city, Odesa, was twice attacked by Russian drones during the night, regional Governor Oleh Kiper said in the telegram.
Russia also targeted Harkivin, Ukraine's second largest city, with five S-300 antiaircraft cruise missiles, the air defence said.
Kipper said in Telegram that two people were injured during the attack on the Black Sea port city.
With all the effective air defence work to ward off enemy attacks, unfortunately, an industrial object was hit in Odessa and residential buildings and civil infrastructure were damaged,” said Kipper.
There was no immediate comment from Russia on this.
In recent weeks, Russia has intensified missile attacks on the civilian targets in Ukraine, causing a host of deaths, injuries and material damage.
According to Ukrainian officials, in December 29, 2023, January 2, 2024, Russia has started more than 500 fears produced by Iran in Ukrainian cities.
This wave of attacks has increased pressure on Ukraine's air defence capacities, and ammunition reserves, for which Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky has increased calls on allies to help Kiev.
The war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes.
