The union expresses great concern about the plight of the injured miners.
The announcement reportedly hopes for improved working conditions.
“We as representatives of miners share the pain with you in hopes of improving conditions at work and higher security, for which we have expressed concern even before. To our injured colleagues, we wish for rapid healing and we pray to God and to two of our hospitals to return safely to their families and to us among our”, reportedly in response to the Independent Trade Union of Trepca miners.
We stress that according to the Mitrovica hospital report, two of the miners are in serious health condition. According to the report, they have reportedly suffered serious eye injuries (chemical burners with sulfuric acid).
“While, 10 of them are being treated in the Emergency Department, which are out of danger for life, and after treatments are expected to be issued home”, the announcement said.
