Shala: Urgently Adopted Energy Price Reduction Resolution

With the Kosovo Democratic Party Parliamentary Group's proposal and the support of other opposition deputies, MP Ferat Shala has proposed Resolution for lowering the electricity price and lifting the tariff bloc.

Shala has demanded that this resolution be adopted, which contains five points:

1. He recommends to the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), that within a reasonable deadline, the decision to expensive the price of electricity and make the decision to lower its price in line with socio-economic circumstances and the level of energy prices on the international market, respectively, on respective international stock exchanges;
2. He recommends to the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), within the reasonable timeline to make a decision to cancel the fee to calculate electricity spending for family consumers;
3. He recommends to the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) the company of measures in relation to the Kosovar Company for Energy Supply (KESCO), to ensure effective and equal treatment of consumers who have filed complaints to electricity bills for December 2023 and annual consumer complaints in 2024.
4. The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is dedicated to taking measures, actions and decisions to create financial preconditions for immediate cancellation of the decision to expensive electricity and ease the financial burden on family electricity consumers;
5. It requires the Office for Energy Regulatory and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, in the short term, to announce the Assembly for meeting points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of this resolution.
