Former Kosovo Liberation Army soldier Hasan Dagnat, who was arrested by Serbian authorities Friday at the Merdar border crossing, has been assigned a 1 month detention measure in Serbia.
Family lawyer Jevdet Smakqi said that through the lawyer assigned to Dalaya in Serbia, it has been reported that “is assigned the detention measure.
Smakqi said they will file complaints to this decision.
I am in co-ordination with his lawyer in Serbia. I've been told that the detention measure has been arranged for”, the lawyer told Express.
He said ex-soldier The KLA “is suspected of war crimes”, under the laws of the former Yugoslavia.
Hasan Dajaj from Prizren is currently located at a detention centre in Belgrade. He was arrested Friday by Serbian authorities at the Merdar border checkpoint.
The prosecution in Belgrade claims Dajaj committed war crimes as 19 years old in 1999.
Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said it has announced the “international mechanisms for Serbia's actions towards Kosovo citizens”.
