Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has spoken about the terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police on 24 September, where he said Banjska changed everything.
Rohde has said he himself has not even imagined that something like this would happen until he has demanded that the authors be brought to justice and punished, Express reports.
“Banjska changed everything. It was a terrorist attack. These weren't unhappy citizens, but they had rocket launchers, machine guns, grenades... We are still searching for suspected authors who must be brought to justice. Milan Radojic himself said he is responsible, but still has no responsibility, we cannot accept the principle of impunity. If you commit a crime, you must be judged. Hopefully Serbia is working on this”, Rohde has stated in an interview for Kosovo Online.
The German ambassador has suggested Germany will increase its presence in Kosovo with a contingent from May.
“Personally, I couldn't imagine something like that would happen, and therefore NATO added its presence and Germany would do the same with a new contingent from May. What we want is peace and stability. Attacks like this are exactly the opposite of that. Unless the perpetrators of the attack in Banjska are condemned, how confidence between the two countries can grow. This was a big deal, and indeed the authors must be punished”, Rohde stated.
