The Social Democrat Party has said it has received an invitation from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo to join the AAK-Nisma Social Democrat coalition.
Nature Kuci confirmed to the Signal Journal that the PSD has rejected AAK's invitation to the coalition.
We initially thank the AAK for this invitation, but our refusal is conceptual and ideological. She said the current political situation needs an alternative opposition that offers solutions to situations created by the Kurti Government.
“The PSD and the current parties in the Kosovo Assembly will have no electoral co-operation for ideological and principled reasons”, the spokeswoman said.
Kuci said they will compete as alone in the upcoming elections and that they are open to co-operation with social groups and other political parties that have similar interest and outlook.
“We will compete as alone in the next elections, and we are open to co-operation with social groups and other political parties that have the same interest and outlook as us”, she said.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Social Democrat Initiative have signed the pre-election coalition agreement yesterday.
At a media conference, AAK head Ramush Haradinaj said their union comes from a sense of responsibility towards Kosovo citizens.
