Kosovo police have come up with a communiqué saying that given the information they have from all border control points, the flow of people and goods is normally developed, except that a larger concentration of vehicles and persons is seen at the point at the Merdar border crossing, where expectations and columns are longer.
In the afternoon hours at the Merdar border crossing at the entrance of the Republic of Kosovo, there has not been any reporting of waiting or long columns, while more than 3 hours of waiting has been recorded at the exit”.
Meanwhile, police call and propose citizens use other crossings where there are fewer flows.
“We encourage all those who exploit border crossings, in this period of exit from the Republic of Kosovo to use alternatives (other border points), where the flow is smaller, in order to avoid expectations and evental columns”.
Police communication comes after the incident took place in Merdar, where there were clashes between some citizens and police.
