The petition for the mayors' dismissal in the north is delivered: I'm running!

Leposaviqi Mayor Lulzim Hetemi is open to leave the street in the event that the petition launched today in northern Mitrovica and Leposaviq is fulfilled.

He has said he will not compete in the upcoming local elections, whenever they are held.

By contrast, today in northern Mitrovica and Leposaviq citizens of Serbian nationality have started signing the petition to dismiss mayors from the Albanian community.

The signature collection started at 9:00.

In northern Mitrovica, the petition is being held after municipal asganists approved the initiative's request for the signing collection to take place in the sports hall in this municipality in northern Kosovo, inhabited by Serb majority.

In Leposaviq, according to one of the petition initials, Veselli Radovovic, has been granted permission to use space in front of the municipality for signing collection.
