The Ministry of Internal Affairs has condemned the attack on Leposaviqi's municipality's Chief Speaker, Gorski Guriq.
This minister says Kosovo Police have reported that today in the early hours of the morning, the car of Leposaviqi Assembly Chief Speaker Gorski Guriq has been burned.
This attack on Mr. Guric proves that Serbia has not changed its criminal approach and attacks on Serbian citizens who are loyal to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This act is in the continuation of successive burns of cars of Serbian citizens that co-operate or engage in the institutions of our Republic”, the MPB response said.
Serbia's “Sulmets, which target Serbian citizens engaging in our institutions, aim to create uncertainty in our citizens and convey the message of fate of those who want to engage in our institutions”, are said to be further in the communiqué.
The ministry invites Kosovo Police for maximum commitment in clarifying this case and bringing leaders to justice.
Our “Institutions will continue to be open to commitment and in the service of all our citizens indiscriminately”, said at the end of the response.
