The European Union's envoy (BE) for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has written about his weekly meetings that he had in connection with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Lajcak has indicated he is preparing for a dynamic week in Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum will be held.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Alexander Vuciq, are also expected to be there. But the European emissary did not mention any potential meeting between Kurt and Vuciqi.
With the end of the week, I will complete my preparations for next dynamic week, during which I will be in Davos attending the 54th Annual World Economic Forum Summit. I will participate in several panel discussions and have numerous bilateral meetings”, Lajcak has declared.
He has also thanked France for supporting the dialogue process.
Starting the first week of my year's work, I visited Paris, where I engaged in a series of very constructive and essential meetings in Quai dão and Élysée. The main objective was to sync efforts with my French counterparts and establish bases for the following months. I am grateful for the continued and strong support from France in my efforts to facilitate EU-led Dialogue and for the fruitful co-operation that we continue to enjoy”, Lajcak wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
Furthermore, he has said he has made extensive information about the ambassadors of EU member states in Brussels, informing of the achievements achieved in the dialogue. He has even mentioned recognition of the license plates between Kosovo and Serbia.
On Wednesday, I have offered a comprehensive briefing to the ambassadors of EU member states in Brussels, informing of the achievements achieved in Dialog since my last presentation in October and expectations for 2017. Particularly, the two sides officially recognised each other's license plates and completely abolished the poster regime, a positive step in implementing the Normalisation Way Agreement. The considerable progress has also been achieved in the implementation of the Energy Guide”, Lajcak said.
