The European Union's envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, will go to Belgrade today, while a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has been warned about lunch tomorrow.
Lajcak is meeting with Vucinqi today at 12:30.
The Serbian presidency did not confirm that there will be a joint conference, but said after the meeting a communiqué will be sent to the media.
The topics to be discussed, like the reason for the visit, have also not been disclosed.
But the meeting is held a few days before the new Kosovo Central Bank regulation comes into force for the expulsion of the Serbian dinar as used currency for transactions in the country.
The international community has expressed concern over the decision, urging Kosovo to consult with communities. Yesterday, QUINT requested the suspension of this decision.
While on Tuesday, Lajca will visit Pristina, confirmed by well-informed sources in Brussels.
Lajcak is expected to meet with representatives of local institutions, although there is still no confirmation of whether a meeting will be held between him and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, RTK has reported.
Meanwhile, it becomes known that it has already been confirmed holding the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister at the same time as Kosovo's chief negotiator, Besnik Bissim.
