Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Kosovo will face an old neighbour again this year, who “is deteriorating”.
Kurti at today's government meeting has cited the arrests of Kosovo citizens by Serbian authorities at the border, saying this is Serbia's malicious, malicious behaviour. He said that despite the agreement on normalising relations, Serbia is attacking Kosovo and protecting the perpetrators of the work by the helm, Milan Radociqiqi.
However, despite the positive and progressive changes for our country, this year is also inheriting an old neighbor who is deteriorating. Last week, two citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, Hasan and Xhavit Daj, were detained and arrested at the border with Serbia. Hasan Dajaj continues to be held there unjustly and in absorptionally. This is not the first time, nor does it present an isolated case. This is a malicious behaviour of Serbia that conflicts with international human rights conventions”, Kurti said.
He mentioned Petit Dulen and Nezir Mehmetajn, who are being kept in Serbian prisons for allegedly committing crimes against the civilian population during the war in Kosovo”.
“Nazir Mehmetaj has remained in custody for months without indictment, contrary to Serbia's own laws, which have also highlighted the Fund for Humanitarian Law in Serbia”, Kurti said.
Petrit Dula has been sentenced to the first degree, despite, as Kurti said, a witness has denied that he was responsible for a crime.
“The Minister of Justice, Albulen Haxhiu, in light of good neighbourly relations and in light of the way of normalising relations between our two states, has demanded the extradition of Petrit Dules and Nezir Mehmetaj from the authorities of Serbia. We have never received an answer. Only news of continuing the judicial process against two citizens”, Kurti said.
The prime minister said Serbia has also become dangerous for its citizens, after citing the case of beating and arresting Nikola Sandulovici, leader of the Serb Republican Party.
Kurti said conditions for human and minority rights are not worth in Serbia.
