The International Court of Justice will decide this Friday whether to issue urgent measures that command Israel to stop their war in Gaza.
The case has arrived in DjND after South Africa has asked the court to issue nine interim measures, including stopping military activity from Israel, while saying Israel has committed genocide in Gaza.
Following charges of genocide, Israel has reacted strongly, saying that South Africa is distorting the truth and that they have the right to defend themselves while adding that Israel's target is the Hamas fighters, not Palestinian civilians.
Israel has asked judges to reject South Africa's request, while making a decision this Friday by 17 judges, where 15 are permanent, one from South Africa, and one from Israel must answer two questions.
First, judges must respond if South Africa has fulfilled the basic test to show that its claim against Israel can be addressed under the UN Convention for genocide.
And second, judges must respond if there is a danger of irreparable damage to the Palestinian people in Gaza if Israel's military actions continue.
