The Israeli Army said Tuesday that its troops had surrounded the town of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
“over the past day, IDF troops carried out a wide operation during which Khan Youths surrounded and deepened operation in the area. The area is an important bastion of Hamas' Khan Youth Brigade”, the military said.
“Land troops engaged in nearby fighting, conducted attacks (air force) and used intelligence to coordinate the fire, resulting in the elimination of dozens of terrorists”, she added.
Israel launched an offensive last week to capture Khan Youth, which it says is the main headquarters of Hamas members, writes The Guardian,
