Democratic League of Kosovo Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri says the government has not acted on meeting the requirements from the EU summit in Moldova.
Compliing the declaration that came from the European Union for punitive measures against Kosovo, which will still remain in force, Haziri said Kosovo could face new measures.
“The government has not yet acted on meeting the three requirements from the EU summit in Moldova, related to the deexpassing of the situation in four municipalities in northern Kosovo Mitrovica. None of the three conditions is complete, including the organisation of elections in these municipalities”, Haziri told Blic newspaper.
“Although the terrorist attack in Banjska and the state police elite units prevented, neutralised and eliminated the terrorist threat, this Government failed to capitalise on this situation for the country. Also, Serbia is not only a sponsor of terrorism, but also its host”, he adds.
Haziri further added that Kurti Government has lost confidence and Kosovo's image has already been greatly damaged.
He sees these measures as a heavy - scale mission, as he says we are close to other punitive measures.
The government has lost trust and international credibility. Our image has been severely damaged, the heavy mission is to avoid punishment measures. I hope we don't have a second package of punitive measures, that we are closer to it today”, Haziri said.
Mr. Kurt has already been compensated. There's no amnesty for this government's commitment. It will be hopeless to have further expectations, but Kurt's reaction and game of words, which he warned in the new 7-point plan of dialogue”, he added.
