The German Embassy in Kosovo has extended donations to Kosovo Police cars as well as technology equipment.
The donation signing was made through the official ceremony attended by Kosovo Police Director General Gazmend Hoxha, Germany's ambassador to Kosovo Rohde, as well as the KP's top management.
Hoxha said Kosovo police are grateful to the German Embassy for continuing support for the Kosovo Police in further advancing operational, logistical and technological capacities.
“Support from our international partners will positively influence the fight of all criminal acts, directly help conduct police activities on the ground, and increase the efficiency of police work in many areas of activity”.
Meanwhile, Rohde stressed that donated vehicles and equipment are part of a co-operation, “within which German Federal Police share the most modern technology and research tactics, strengthening Kosovo's commitment to secure its borders and contributing to the security of the entire region”.
Kosovo police said that the Embassy of the Republic of Germany, as a permanent partner of the Kosovo Police, over the last two years 2022 and 2023, has supported the Kosovo Police, more specifically, Kosovo Border Police, increasing operational and logistical capacities with 59 cars, 5 van-bus and 10 field engines, in the field of information technology with 130 computers, 16 laptops, the lab for the Han Elez border station, projectors, various equipment for document control and patrols at the border, two camera, camera, IDs, and other devices.
