French Ambassador: Avoid Smoking in the Presence of Children

France's Ambassador to Pristina Olivier Guerot, before being appointed to serve in our country, has not expected Kosovo to have a close relationship with Western Europe.

However, in an interview for Clankosova he says he has found another situation and says that this proximity has come from diaspora and refugees who returned to Kosovo after several years in France or other Western countries.

He even now says that Kosovo is Europe and is not so different from other European countries “sic many believe”.

The French diplomat stressed that what has impressed Kosovo most is the great diversity in a small territory.

While Guerot also mentions good co-operation between the two countries in the field of culture, with special emphasis on film and archaeology ʹ in the latter, marking recent discoveries in Kosovo.

However, the job of ambassador to Kosovo is estimated by dramatic moments, including the attack on Zvecan Banjska.

He also speaks of the security aspect, saying that there are numerous dangers to new tensions in the country.

To answer your question: What impresses me most is the great diversity in a small territory. Geographical diversity: you can cross Kosovo from side to side for half a day and travel through very different landscapes; human diversity, diversity of cities that each has a very special character, etc. The least impressive is smoking in public places sometimes in front of children.
